A New Day
A happy love song of sorts. Meeting someone for the first time and forgetting where you are or what time it is because you are enjoying yourself with this person.
Then you consider what you may have heard about this person i.e. bad things....but you decide to use your own judgement because you realize that the same things have probably been said about you yourself. You like the person but you don't easily give up your heart because it's painful getting it back so you need to be careful.
The "road that's far too long" is getting to know someone new and doing the whole relationship thing again when you've probably just gotten out of a relationship.
Ultimately, you are searching for love and happiness and this person might be it for you. This person might be your "New Day."
